Toyota

Toyota is the second largest automaker in the United States. Although the automaker sells its cars in over 170 countries around the globe, its primary markets are Japan, North America, Europe and Asia. According to their official website, their "respect for their neighbors and the environment is at the heart of everything [they] do." The marketing efficacy of Toyota's culture of environmental responsibility is evident in the popularity of the world's first mass-produced hybrid gas/electric car, the Toyota Prius. The Prius has been highly visible as the most fuel-efficient sedan on the market and the car of choice for environmentally friendly celebrities such as Leonardo DiCaprio. With excellent mileage, ultralow emissions, and a generous mount of cabin space, the Prius offers outstanding build quality at a very reasonable price, though it has less power than other cars in its class.

With 16 cars, trucks, and sport utility vehicles in its line-up, Toyota targets every segment of the car-buying public, from those just looking for a solid, practical, well-built car (like the Toyota Corolla or Yaris) to those looking for a safe, family-friendly minivan (like the Toyota Sienna) to those looking for a stylish luxury vehicle with loads of options (like the Toyota Camry XLE or the luxury Lexus line). The Toyota Tacoma and Tundra pick-up trucks offer heavy duty performance and reliability. The Toyota Camry has been America's best-selling car for eight of the last nine years due to its reputation for overall quality, safety, and a smooth ride, and it sets the benchmark for all mid-size four-door sedans in the automotive industry. Introduced in the United States in 1982, the Camry sedan has always been Toyota's flagship car and an enduring symbol of quality, reliability, durability, and solid (or, to be more honest, plain and sedate) design. For 2007, Toyota is introducing an all new, thoroughly re-designed Camry that has more aerodynamic styling. Like the rest of Toyota's extensive line of automobiles, the new Camry is more fuel efficient than its predecessors. Toyota is also introducing the first Camry Hybrid, a combination gas/electric engine car with an efficient continuously variable transmission and a fuel economy rating of about 40 miles per gallon.

Toyota's line of vehicles is known for being very safe and well-equipped, even in the entry-level models in comparison to its competitors. Toyota also offers handy options such as remote keyless entry, backup cameras, deluxe sound systems with Bluetooth capability, and DVD-based touch screen navigation systems. The Camry XLE even has optional features like heated outside mirrors, rear seat reading lamps, reclining rear seats, and keyless remote starting capability. Standard safety features on all Camry models include a tire pressure monitoring system, front and side-impact airbags, head-protecting side air curtains, and a driver's knee airbag that help to position the driver to control the car and prevent injury from the steering column when deployed. In addition to antilock brakes, the Camry also offers brake assist and electronic brake-force distribution. If you buy a Toyota, you are likely investing in a car that will offer you exceptional safety and years of reliable service.
